soothers/amazing moment/new stuff i want to try

what is it about Soothers that makes them so yummy? their fruity goodness? there amazing scent? you all may think whoa my god she is strange, but think about it! they are fruity and taste AMAZING and when that gooey goodness pops into your mouth its just amazing. i love it so much! i think i need to stop eating them, as i feel i could get ill from it.. if i can please comment and tell me!! why am i randomly saying this... well i have a cold and i cant stop coughing! its a really pathetic cough as well, its really weezy and ticklely a lot like an old man.. its horrid!! those who have hay fever will understand what i am going through. I HATE YOU HAY FEVER.

recently i have been told that people want to dress like me, which i was amazed by because i never think i am fashionable in ANYWAY at all! i dress for my mood and that's about it! not much thought goes into it at all :/ so i was touched when my friend got the same clothes as me.. and i mean the exact copy.. but she said that she just loves the way i dress so somehow i felt touched! (however before hand i was quite mad as they were the 2 items of clothes i consider my 'staple' items.. and are me so to start with i was what i like to call.. cheesed off!)  also the children i work with at band (geek alert!) all say i am the most fashionable person they know... i felt somehow relieved because i now know that i don't dress badly and happy cause people like the way i dress! enough of this now!!
guess who is part of the nominations of 6th form President.. BOOM! elections next week - wish me luck ;)

So i have been doing some research and looking around there is some things i want to buy and makeup i figured i needed to test out because so many people are raving about them! and since i need to manage my money i figured writing a list would make things MUCH better! so i am going to tell you guys what i am planning on testing! 

• BB cream from Maybelline - i have heard it does 'wonders' for your skin so you know what i am going to try some! (£7.99)
• Maxfactor 2000 calorie mascara - this is meant to make your lashes look fuller and longer and since i have some boots points to use why not?
• Zara Bucket Bag with double handle in Black - i have been raving about this bag! i need it for paris as it is so chic also can i add.. £16.99 in the sale. YES PLEASE. 
• Monki - i have heard great things about this online store and i figured that i neeeeed to buy some things off it! so i have come to the conclusion i shall get the: Sonia Make-up Bag in Ducky egg blue. Also the Miracle Purse in Milk 'n' Caviar. Basically these are just to go into the new bag so in the purse i shall put the essentials eg Euro's, Cards, Passes etc etc. and the make-up bag shall hold my essentials. (might not get both.. i arent too sure yet)
• Topshop Leopard sunglasses - they are the classical 90's round shape and since i am going to be wearing midi/maxi skirts for some of the days i thought i might get some to work up the look. here is the ref code online incase i have described these badly!!  22P38BBLK

so here is just a few things i shall be getting to get my essentials for Paris underway! i may do an outfit plan for some of the days because i cant take that much with me in my suitcase :( i hate limits so i think this is where my organisations skills really need to be used!

ice cream/sales/beauty products

is it just me or is ice cream the most addictive desert ever? it goes with everything and is so so yummy... but cause of this crap weather i havent been able to full fill my ice cream expectations! it is july now and we have had 1/2 weeks of good sunny weather. SORT IT OUT WEATHER.

so as you all know i love a good bargain and i have been doing my webb searching and Zara = top marks for sales! i am going to paris in 3weeks and i figured as i am going to a fashionable place i should invest in new clothes/bags/purses etc so i fit in!
Zara have a good deal with bags.. so i shall post the piccys of the purchases when i go in a weeks time! (excited!) 

topshop i was a tad disappointed with which is a shocker for me cause i live in their items, whether it was because i was with Harry at the time and wasnt concentrating i arent sure but i wasnt too impressed :/ 

so i have decided i should really give you some idea of what make up i own... because i feel you are all waiting in anticipation. I dont really wear much because my skin is rather fresh and i dont really break out in spots which i am thankful for!! however i dont really use that higher end makeup mainly because i cant afford it and because i feel i arent old enough.. i dont know why but even though i am 18 soon i still feel a child when looking on their stands i feel slightly intimidated by their evil glares so i just walk away. foolish i know!

Foundation: i have tried so many in the past and so many have worked and some i have thought crap that is orange and slides of my face. i keep going off track sorry! so the 2 i use at the moment.

both of these are my ultimate favourite foundations! i buy rimmel foundations all the time mainly because they work really well with my skin tone. I know i said i dont tend to buy 'high end' makeup but i found that with cliniqué i could just go up and ask what i like to call 'teen friendly' beauty helper people and they tell me what i need to know and dont glare me out cause i am too young...(i have seen year8's go to clinique i figured i could also go up!) i think for both of these if you have oily skin these wouldn't work as well as they are rather heavy.

Powder: i have never tried powder because i felt that it didnt really do much and mainly because i didnt understand it (failure) until one of my friends said 'you should try it in summer as it is light on the skin' so being easily led.. i did. I do not regret it AT ALL. i wear it on days when i cba to put on foundation or when i feel i look shiny!

i love this as it really stays on my face all day and it does what is says on the tin. i will definitely be buying this product again! again i may have told a little lie about high end products but i find with Benefit is that its 'teen-friendly' and i get it as prezzies from my mum and family members and because this is incred on my skin so when i have money to spare (which i warn isnt often!) i get the products

Bronzer: i have always liked the idea of being slightly brown and so i thought instead of fake tanning my face bronzer would make me look a little more healthy on the face! and there is one product which i ADORE and i can't stress enough how much i love this! 

Bourjois bronzing powder in medium 51 

(its in french so i tried my GCSE skills dont kill me if i am wrong!)

what i love about this product is that it has lasted me a long time and it always looks amazing makes my cheek bones stand out and who can complain about that!? also i love the smell... weird i know.. but omg its amazing! if you get it.. take a whiff and you will be blown away by the scent!

Blusher/Primer/Highligher (if used): i think i have done this in a strange order.. but i have just been grabbing stuff and writing about it! oops! i dont use either very much only when my face looks dull and need some brightening or if i feel like it! (both products where gifts from my mum otherwise i wouldnt get them!)

what i love about these is that they last all day and i love not having to re-apply makeup during school time as it takes so much effort and people stare at you in the bathroom and that is NEVER fun! like i said above my mum bought me these as gifts for a variety of reasons otherwise i wouldnt get them as they are too pricey!!haha

(this is taking a while chaps i am sorry - if you dont want to read dont! cause we have the eyes to go at yet!!)

Eyeliner: i like to change from liquid/pencil/gel depending on where i am going and what i am doing! to keep it snappy.. Pencil pretty much never as i find it smudges but i do sometimes when i think omg need to use it.. then realise why i havent.. Liquid i use EVERYDAY i love it! Gel when i go out partying and need something to last the evening.

Lipsticks/tints/The one lip Balm: so i am a big lippy person mainly because i like the smell.. and because i love my lips i dunno why but i do! i own so many lip products that i think it is also worrying :/ so like my mascara i am going to list them all and hope for the best! However there is only ONE lip balm i use and that is Carmex. I LOVE this product i think it is 50/50 whether people like it or not as some dont like the tingly effect and some hate the smell/taste. i love both and it works wonders on my lips after playing my cornet all day! (band geek alert.. sound the alarm) unlike most girls i dont like lip gloss that much as i havent found the correct consistency that doesnt stick and i find it too shiny *shrugs shoulders* i dunno am i being too picky and difficult? i dunno... here we go

duvet day

so today its my colleges training day..which means no college..which means duvet day :D
though i need to stop eating as much as i do :/ so i am cutting down! sad days..


so today i thought i would go through some new music which i like in a top 5 :) this isnt a which is best order, it is just the bands which are good!!!

1. Passion Pit - they have been around for a few years now, i am so happy they have a new single 'Take A Walk' its very summery and i find myself smiling and doing the chair dance! Check it out!
2. The Lumineers - a new band on the scene with their debut new single 'Ho Hey' a very indie song with a mumford and sons feel to it! i love it a lot another summery song! 
3. Jonquil - a very Indie/Alternative song it seems to always put a smile on my face when i listen i enjoy it loads the track is called 'Run' 
4.  The Enemy - these guys have been making music since 2007 and they are still going strong! There new single 'Like A Dancer' of their new album 'Streets In The Sky' Out Now! i found that all off the songs on there are very good i cant pick a fault with the album 
5. last but not least Haim - A new girl group (YAY) but they are more indie which is good, their debut single 'forever' has been single of the week by a few of Radio 1's dj's! this song is so dancy and never fails to put a smile on my face

marble nails

so recently me and one of my good friends decided we should try out something new: Marble nails!! possibly the best thing i have done in AGES! even though it did take a fair while!
it took us around 1hour D: but it is so so worth it and plus everyone comments on how awesome they are so if you have some spare time out of doing work/school/family things you should totally try it!
below is what my finished nails look like! 

nail varnish used:

Barry M: Peach Melba&Blue Moon
Rimmel London: in orange
NO7: deep purple&white
OPI: red

(the one bad thing about this is that when you
dip in your fingers you get nail varnish all over your

fingers :/ You will see why in the instructions!)

instructions:

1. find an old yoghurt pot, tin, box or a container that you can put water in and a finger! You will also need a cocktail stick. Also make sure your nails have some form of base coat whether that is just your normal base coat or a colour (i recommend white as it goes with anything!) as the nail varnish can stick to something!
2. fill up your container with cold water, grab as much nail varnish as you can find and get on a table and maybe cover it up with news paper so you dont drop anything on the table!!
3. once you have done that - place 1 drop of your chosen nail varnish (preferably a dark/bright colour) and watch it expand, it should go into a circle shape. If not clear out the water and try again! if your first colour is successful QUICKLY so it doesnt dry place another colour in and add as many colours as you would like (preferably 3) and have fun watching them expand! this step is all about trial and error - you need to try as many nail varnishes as you can to get the best results! 
4. grab your cocktail stick and drag in the colours to make a swirly pattern (again QUICKLY!)
5. then once you think 'thats a cool pattern' place one of your finger nails HORIZONTAL on the nail varnish and then straighten the finger into the water you need lots of patience for this step so dont give up keep trying! 
6. then collect the remaining nail varnish onto the cocktail stick by swirling it around the stick
7. let the nail dry (by this point your finger will be covered in nail varnish but it does go away!)
8. do all this again for each nail. i would suggest cleaning the water after every 2nd nail!!

uni confusion

is it just me or is finding a uni so god damn hard? there is so much choice and i am the most indecisive person EVER!! 
so what brought me on to this... going to a uni day at Leeds Met with 142 uni's.. yeah instead of helping me, it has just made my thought processes harder -.- so THANKS! and to add to this.. i have 24 prospectus's D:
this is going to be a chore to whittle it down to 5!! i feel so bad for the uni's that i have to throw away :( this is just horrible times!


Not only this - but i went to a gap year seminar and that appealed to me also -.- so i am even more lost (even though the chances of me taking one is like.. 3% so meh!)
it was also raining ALL DAY so i was drenched.. all this = Not my day!!


for those who read this thinking 'what does she want to do?' i want to take Fashion Journalism :) or Music Journalism or anything to do with Fashion Communication or Magazine/online Journalism - so blogging will help!
for those who think 'wow this is boring and she is crazy!' i am sorry and i shall do something 'normal' soon

gah year 13 - its not all doom and glooom!

this is so depressing started year 13 already and i am sick of the depressing talk of 'its going to be really hard - so keep on top of it' I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT! gah i hate it so much and i cant drop psychology until September talk about torture -.- stressing already and its what.. 2days in D: #longyearahead not only that but my body clock is ruined! i woke up so late i had to get ready in 10mins... it hasn't been my day today! literally had to find something in my wardrobe and sling it on and hope for the best!! hopefully it will be better tomorrow... please?
luckily i shall be 18 soonish and i am going to Paris in a month so its not all doom and gloom!


so fashion wise - i have been wearing this INCREDIBLE cameo jacket my brother gave me from his cadet uniform.. which saved me £30 in arc so as you can tell i am over the moon! i wear it with everything and its very comfy, though some people said i look ridiculous but i don't dress for others. i dress for me.
and as for the people who say i dress horribly its called originality you should get some :) (sorry this is so ranty..!) also been wearing my blouses as per usual so nothing has changed reeally! 
within all this been thinking i may get a small tattoo in my wrist so that's also something for me to think on!
note to self: dont wear red and green ever again! and get some deck shoes&creepers!
if any of you have any advice on creepers that would me much appreciated!


music: think i should do a top 10 as i haven't done one in AGES!


10. Grimes - her new singles Oblivion & Genesis.. i cant make my mind up if i like them or not.. they are really out there but they are so so cool and different... hmmm
09. Jack White - my boyfriend (harry) got me into him he has been trying for ages and i finally caved and omg! so so addicted freedom at 21 is my fave his voice blows me away every time
08. Friends - a new band on the scene and i find their new single 'friend crush' really groovy (cringey word sorry!) but it relaxes me and so different!
07. Jessie Ware - her dubstep music has this new feel to it almost pop but not! very cool and BIG summer tunes '110%' is my fave
06. Spector - New band to the scene and i love them! very dancey feel good songs but yet very indie.. new single 'Celestine' one of my fave songs right now
05. Ben Howard - i couldnt do a top 10 without him on here...
04. AlunaGeorge - new singer to the block and her new single 'You know you like it' been a big thing for many Radio 1 DJ's very catchy and again big for the summer
03. Newton Faulkner - New single 'Clouds' amazing. 
02. Icona Pop - girl duet, electropop, 'Nights Like This' 'Manners' listen. so so catchy. Summer. amazing!!!
01. Niki and The Dove - my favourite band. Words can't describe my utter love for them! *speechless* New album 'Instinct' Out NOW!!! listen to 'the fox' amazing! they are going to be at Leeds - get your ears in the tent to see them!!!!!!
